P&O Cruises reveals exciting dining options on new ship Arvia & celebrity chefs

P&O Cruises cruise ship Arvia has plenty to shout about when it comes to dining onboard – here’s what you need to know.

P&O Cruises cruise ship Arvia features more than 30 bars and restaurants plus exclusive destination-inspired dishes by celebrity chefs.

The new P&O ship is even home to new restaurants created exclusively for Arvia.

The queen of contemporary Caribbean cooking, Shivi Ramoutar and acclaimed Spanish chef, José Pizarro will be whipping up local food experiences for Arvia’s vacations in the Caribbean and Mediterranean respectively.

Star studded

The Beach House

At The Beach House, Caribbean chef Ramoutar is celebrating her passion for local cuisine with a range of dishes including vibrant Jerk Chicken Supreme with rice and peas, coleslaw, shallow-fried plantain and a Jamaican cornmeal speciality known as festivals.

The Glass House and Cellar Door

In both these venues, guests cantry tapas created by Pizarro – think grilled whole tiger prawns, mango, chilli and garlic salsa; lamb cutlets, crushed potatoes, olives, dried cherry tomatoes and romesco sauce; and tuna tartare with avocado, tomato and chilli dressing.

Plus, all this tasty food can be paired with wines selected by Food Hero Olly Smith.

P&O Arvia dining: Exclusive new restaurants

Firsts

Green & Co feat. Mizuhana

This new restaurant is exclusive to Arvia and offers guests exquisitely crafted fish and plant-based dishes.

These include such offerings as nigiri with yellowfin tuna, Highland salmon, yellow tail, sea bass, maki and tuna uramaki; and a chocolate Earth Plate with dark chocolate and beetroot pebbles, chocolate mushrooms, tarragon jelly, chocolate soil and non-dairy vanilla gelato.

Holidaymakers can dine at the sushi bar and watch the expert chefs at work or be seated at tables to enjoy the views out to sea.

6th Street Diner

This eatery is an all-American diner serving breakfast, brunch, dinner and sweet treats. Tuck into such dishes as Pennsylvania Dutch Waffles with fried chicken and spicy maple syrup; New York Strip Steak with grilled asparagus, crispy shallows, garlic butter and fries; and Red Velvet Whoopie Pie with cream cheese frosting.

Food here is all accompanied by great music and ice-cold cocktails.

Roast at The Quay

Also new for Arvia, Roast at The Quay plates up traditional lunches served with a modern twist, including a jumbo Yorkshire pudding filled with Sunday roast favourites.

Tuck in

The Olive Grove

This Mediterranean restaurant has a menu featuring the region’s iconic dishes, from Greek mezze to Moroccan lamb tagine. On Celebration Nights, the restaurant will offer an exclusive menu from José Pizarro.

The Keel and Cow

The Keel and Cow is a gastropub serving dry-aged steaks, British classics and a signature burger, The Prime Minister.

Sindhu

Here guests can dine amidst stylish surroundings whilst tucking into the best of contemporary Indian cuisines.

Epicurean

At chic restaurant Epicurean, classic British ingredients are given a modern twist and are served with fine wines, top-notch service, elegant surroundings and divine ocean vistas.

The Limelight Club

At this ticketed event exclusively for adults, passengers can settle back for entertainment provided by some of Britain’s best-loved performers while eating a three-course dinner.

Taste 360

Taste 360 serves burgers, hot dogs, oven-baked pizza, authentic street food and special dishes from Ramoutar and Pizarro.
