Lake Enriquillo, in the Dominican Republic, is the largest lake in the Caribbean at more than 350sqm. Named after Enriquillo, the first Taino chief who successfully revolted against Spanish colonialists, it’s become a popular tourist attraction for spotting crocodiles and other wildlife such as pink flamingoes and iguanas
