Princess Cruises has announced its newest ship Sun Princess will be home to a famous Hollywood private clubhouse renowned for its magic shows.
Princess Cruises has revealed its latest offering Spellbound by Magic Castle – a magical collaboration with the renowned Hollywood members’ club, Magic Castle.
This enchanting experience is set to captivate passengers on the Sun Princess when the new ship premieres in early 2024. Spellbound effortlessly merges the fascinating realm of magic with the art of mixology to craft an extraordinary, Victorian-inspired adventure.
Guests will discover Spellbound concealed behind an inconspicuous door within the confines of the newest Princess Cruises ship. Here, they will be treated to impressive magical performances by talented magicians, surprises in themed rooms and theatrical cocktails proffered by sleight-of-hand servers.
John Padgett, President of Princess Cruises, enthused: “We are excited to introduce Spellbound by Magic Castle and take the art of magic around the world aboard the spectacular new Sun Princess.”
“This collaboration with The Magic Castle takes entertainment into new dimensions with an extraordinary experience that combines the allure of magic with the thrill of cruising. Spellbound will become an iconic guest favourite on Sun Princess.”
Spellbound is meticulously designed with ornate décor, featuring magical artefacts, vintage curiosities and interactive special effects, all in a bid to capture the essence of Hollywood’s exclusive Magic Castle, a place where stars congregate, legends are born and magic has enthralled audiences for decades.
Upon entering Spellbound, guests will first encounter the Music Room, a beautiful space adorned with eclectic artefacts and paintings designed to pique curiosity.
In this room, guests will encounter the spirit of Isabella and enjoy her beautiful music. As the tale goes, Isabella was lost at sea many years ago and has since found her new home on the Sun Princess.
The featured Parlor Bar boasts a stunning art piece featuring Artemis the Owl, a hidden gem only revealed after guests spend time with talented artists. And in the intimate 30-seat Spellbound theatre, nightly 30-minute performances of close-up magic will take place.
Erika Larsen, President of Magic Castle Enterprises, shared, “We are bringing some of the most authentic aspects of The Magic Castle in Hollywood to Sun Princess, complete with incredible magicians and illusionists, so that Princess guests can experience a taste of the world-class magic that is showcased nightly at the Magic Castle.
“It’s an exciting opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in a magical experience typically reserved exclusively for members and their guests.”
Spellbound is set to make its debut on the Sun Princess in February 2024. More information regarding operating hours and pricing will be disclosed at a later date.
