APT Travel Group launches ‘APT Luxury’ with next-generation river ships

Australia’s largest family-owned tour and river cruise company, APT Travel Group, has launched APT Luxury, blending luxury river cruising and escorted touring into a brand new offering.

Operating since 1927, the change comes as the first step in a series of alterations by APT Travel Group in an effort to differentiate and enhance its product for guests. Accompanying the revamp is a refined monogram inspired by the company’s 98-year heritage.

A significant element of the new APT Luxury brand is the debut of two next-generation European river ships: APT Ostara and APT Solara.

Each of the two all-inclusive ships has been created in collaboration with acclaimed interior designer, Hecker Guthrie. Onboard, they boast seven distinct dining venues (particularly impressive given the average river ship has two), giving them the most diverse culinary offering available on Europe’s river ships.

Among the standout innovations is Grüner Bar & Dining – a cutting-edge floating bar and restaurant that rises from Deck 3 to the Sun Deck, using advanced hydraulic engineering. The result provides guests with ever-changing panoramic views of Europe as it passes by the floor-to-ceiling windows.

All accommodation options have large windows, creating beautifully light-filled spaces, while the premium Owner’s Suites have floor-to-ceiling windows that open plus added luxuries like complimentary laundry service and a spa treatment.
