P&O Cruises: Incredible cruise inclusions from food to flights to fitness

P&O Cruises is a stalwart of British cruising and, given how much the cruise line includes in a cruise fare, it’s easy to see why.

Cruise holidays provide so much more than just getting a holidaymaker from A to B – you’ll meet fabulous like-minded people, visit multiple awesome destinations, be served delicious food and drink and so much more.

We’ve dived into what “so much more” really means and rounded up the many perks of sailing with the beloved British brand, available to book via cruise agent Bolsover Cruise Club.

What’s included on a P&O cruise?

Relax knowing it’s all paid for!

P&O Cruises flights

There’s no denying the airport is where the holiday really begins if you’re flying to your destination; thankfully, this is one of the many areas of the P&O Cruises experience where the stress is removed.

Economy flights are all included if you’ve booked a fly-cruise package – you simply need to get yourself to the airport! And then when you land there will be representatives and a transfer coach waiting to whisk you away on a voyage you’ll never forget. Simples.

P&O Cruises food and drink

Hungry? Of course you are – you’ve been breathing in all that sea air or exploring a thrilling port of call for the afternoon.

Fortunately, there are lots included restaurants on P&O Cruises ships so if you fancy something swanky for dinner or a casual snack by the pool you’ll be able to grab the bite that suits your mood… and then go back for seconds.

Think: a tasty hotdog at the Poolside Grill, a handmade pizza at the Poolside Pizzeria and freshly cooked burgers at Taste 360 to name just a few culinary delights you can feast on for free.

P&O Cruises wellness

Keen to stay trim while away? Easy peasy – P&O Cruises ships boast state-of-the-art gyms with fitness experts to guide you. You can either work out solo or attend a class – these are a great way to make friends if you’re sailing alone!

Of course, a holiday is all about slowing down too, so be sure to stock up on relaxation while you’re away – easily done in an on-deck whirlpool spa or from one of the loungers, if you ask us.

You can always hop into the pool for a swim if you need to cool off – and, if the weather is inclement and you’re lucky enough to be sailing on new ship Arvia, you can reap the benefits of the retractable roof! Very fancy.

If you’ve brought the kids away with you and fancy doing your own thing for a spell, remember the line’s children’s clubs are on hand to whisk the little ones away and help you get that grown-up, alone time you deserve.

P&O Cruises entertainment

Whether you’ve spent your day working up a sweat or enjoying some R&R, we’re sure you’ll be ready for some top-notch entertainment come the evening.

Luckily P&O Cruises offers a plethora of different entertainment offerings. Want an all-singing all-dancing show? The cruise line delivers! All ships are equipped with theatres, for instance, Headliners Theatre on Iona, Britannia and Arvia boasts a stunning LED backdrop and dynamic performances, while Arcadia is home to three-tier theatre, The Palladium, with all the décor, magic and anticipation of the West End.

Fancy learning a new skill or admiring some art? You can! Perhaps you want to check out the casino? No problem. Or maybe you would just like to sit back and listen to some tunes – well, The Live Lounge has you covered, hosting tribute acts, live bands and late-night music.

Yup, you’ll easily be able to while the evening away at sea – you may even find yourself toe-tapping in your sleep!

P&O Cruises accommodation

As for when the night is done and you’re ready to lay your head, you’ll definitely be able to find a cabin that suits your needs. Whether you’re a solo traveller, a family after more space or enjoying a romantic getaway there’s a premium accommodation choice for you.

All rooms feature a comfy bed, ample wardrobe space, a fully stocked chargeable mini-bar and an en-suite bathroom along with a free in-cabin TV, a telephone, a hair dryer and safe, tea and coffee facilities, air conditioning, a vanity writing desk and chair, mineral water on arrival and toiletries from The White Company.

To really add to that indulgent holiday feeling, all guests will enjoy daily cabin steward service, too, while those in suites will benefit from butler service. However, you’ll be glad to know that tipping isn’t needed on P&O Cruises ships – good service is all taken care of.

As for anything you do pay for onboard, from souvenirs to shore experiences, the great news is you won’t be faced with any currency headaches – you’ll pay for everything on board with the Great British pound, making your holiday money go even further.

So go on, slip into holiday mode knowing exactly how much is included and that all your purchases during your time away will be that precise price, no complicated maths required.

All you need to do is decide what you fancy for tea!
