P&O Cruises has more kid places than ever before this summer – here’s where you can travel

P&O Cruises child places ensure families get the summer holiday getaways they deserve – and this year there are more kid spots than ever before

P&O Cruises kids places are still available to sweep up this summer – whether you and the gang fancy heading north to the dramatic is-that-a-troll splendour of the Norwegian fjords or the sunny, can-I-have-another-gelato idyll of the Mediterranean.

The British cruise line’s newest ships Arvia and Iona – both crammed with kid fun – are yours to pick from in the coming months, as P&O Cruises  – available to book via Bolsover Cruise Club – reveals more child places than ever before.

Just think, your family could be nabbing a two-week holiday around Spain and France this August – in a balcony cabin no less – for only £3,996! That includes accommodation, full-board dining in seven venues (from the early Children’s Tea to the poolside pizzeria) and a Wembley-sized line-up of entertainment.

Depending on your cruise ship that means four swimming pools – including an open-top roof and Infinity pool with a swim-up bar – a multiplex cinema, an open-air cinema, shows, live music, comedy, mini golf, a sports arena, a gym with fitness classes and a jogging track. And, crucially, that includes the kids’ club and night nursery too (subject to availability), for when you all want some time apart!

Talking of adult time…you can currently save 10 percent off the Classic drinks package when you buy it at the same time you book your cruise. This P&O Cruises drinks package comprises of all of your favourite tipples and beverages, including a variety of beers and ciders plus selected cocktails, wine and spirits, soft drinks and more. In addition you’ll benefit from a free Refresh package for your little ones under 17 so they can sip on soft drinks and fruit juice all day long (T&Cs apply)

And that’s not all! P&O Cruises is even throwing in some extra onboard spending money – so long as you book an applicable Select Price holiday by September 2, 2024. No judgment if that all goes on a massage for you, mum.

Tempted? We’ve had a peek at some of the fabulous P&O Cruises family holidays you can still book this summer – plus the great stuff you can all get up to ashore.

What to do on P&O Cruises to the Norwegian fjords with the family

Top tips

On a cruise call to Olden enjoy a scenic journey to Briksdal Glacier by troll car [below] – yes, you read that right! This P&O Cruises shore excursion begins with a drive through the picturesque Olden Valley, where you’ll hear intriguing stories and soak up soaring mountains, impressive waterfalls and the tempting waters of Lake Olden. At the Briksdal Inn, hop in an open-top troll car and ride through Jostedalsbreen National Park to the Briksdal Glacier viewpoint. Marvel at this 4,000ft natural wonder before returning to the inn for coffee and cake – plus souvenir shopping.

For more tasty treats and tantalising tales join the Little Baker’s Paradise for Families excursion in Stavanger to relish a scenic ride through the city to Lauvvik on the banks of Lysefjord. At unique café Baker’s Paradise, adults can enjoy freshly made waffles and coffee amid splendid views, while children join an activity leader for storytelling, treasure hunts, stilt-walking, fishing and troll hunting. They’ll also meet local horse Venn and tuck into waffles and hot chocolate. Hey, we wanna join the kids on that one!

Remember, with all shore excursions be sure to check age and height restrictions to ensure they’re suitable for your group.
