Regent Seven Seas Cruises has celebrated a milestone with its next new ship, Seven Seas Prestige. This is what we know so far.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced the name of its new ultra-luxury cruise ship, Seven Seas Prestige, back in June – and now construction has officially begun.
The vessel’s steel-cutting ceremony took place at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard, in Italy marking the start of work on the first of two next-generation vessels.
Seven Seas Prestige is scheduled for delivery in 2026. It marks Regent’s first new ship class in a decade, following the highly successful Explorer-Class vessels launched in 2016, 2020 and 2023.
“This is a truly historic moment for Regent Seven Seas Cruises as we name the next ship to join The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet, Seven Seas Prestige, and reveal her sleek exterior design,” said Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
“Debuting in 2026, Seven Seas Prestige will continue our legacy of revolutionising ultra-luxury travel. This incredible new ship will epitomise timeless elegance, exemplifying Regent’s commitment to excellence with her elevated design and sophisticated ambience.”
Weighing 77,000 tonnes and accommodating up to 850 guests, the new Regent Seven Seas Cruises ship will feature one of the highest passenger-to-space ratios in the cruise industry. Guests will enjoy unparalleled space at sea, with beautifully appointed suites, lavish restaurants, bars, lounges and public areas.
“Unrivalled Space at Sea is a cornerstone of Regent and a primary desire for luxury travellers,” continued DeMarco. “Seven Seas Prestige was designed with this in mind, maintaining the intimate and luxurious service our guests love, while providing even more space throughout the ship, including new suite categories and experiences.”
Seven Seas Prestige will be the first of two Prestige-Class ships, with the second launching in 2029. This new class will introduce fresh accommodation categories, including a reimagined Regent Suite, and new dining experiences, details of which will be unveiled later.
These enhancements will further elevate The Most Inclusive Luxury Experience, for which Regent is renowned. Inclusions encompass flights and transfers, gourmet cuisine in a variety of speciality restaurants and al-fresco dining venues, fine wines and spirits, entertainment, unlimited internet access, free valet laundry, gratuities, and one-night pre-cruise hotel packages for guests in Concierge-level suites and higher.
