Royal Caribbean Group is bringing a new level of luxury to the Greek Isles with new private destination Royal Beach Club Santorini. Here’s what to expect.
Royal Caribbean Group has announced it will open Royal Beach Club Santorini in summer 2026, creating what it calls the ultimate Santorini experience.
The new development will combine the volcanic beaches of the famous Greek island with Royal Caribbean’s signature hospitality, bringing guests a luxurious yet authentic day in the Aegean.
The new Royal Beach Club Santorini is set to open in 2026. It will be open to guests sailing with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises. It will form part of what the company is describing as the Ultimate Santorini Day – a easy experience that lets visitors explore the best of the island before retreating to the private beach club.
Travellers will be able to wander through Santorini’s white-washed villages and admire the blue-domed churches of Oia before heading to Fira to browse its charming shops, cafés and art galleries. The idea is to balance cultural exploration with the relaxed, sun-soaked atmosphere of the Mediterranean.
Once they arrive, guests can unwind on volcanic beaches, enjoy Greek-inspired cuisine, sip cocktails with sea views and soak up the vibrant island spirit that makes Santorini one of the world’s most sought-after cruise destinations.
The new destination is part of Royal Caribbean Group’s growing Royal Beach Club Collection – a portfolio of exclusive resort-style experiences designed to enhance cruise holidays.
“Expanding our Royal Beach Club Collection to include Santorini — one of the world’s most popular and beautiful locations — is a bold step forward in growing our vacation portfolio from two to eight by 2028, giving guests more ways to have unforgettable experiences with us,” said Jason Liberty, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group.
“We’re thrilled to connect guests with Santorini’s gems – from its iconic villages to the Aegean Sea’s famous beach club culture – creating a balanced, authentic island experience.”
Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, added: “Santorini is an incredible destination that our guests love to explore, and with this new beach club, we are able to bring the best of what the island has to offer with the signature service Royal Caribbean is known for.”
The introduction of the new Beach Club will also help ease congestion on the island – a challenge that has grown in recent years as Santorini’s popularity continues to rise. Royal Caribbean Group plans to manage guest flow by introducing a new system where visitors start their day from one of three locations, helping to better distribute crowds while giving travellers more time to enjoy the sights.
This initiative reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to improve destination sustainability and visitor experience, ensuring Santorini remains as enjoyable for locals as it is for cruise passengers.
Royal Beach Club Santorini follows a series of high-profile developments from Royal Caribbean Group as it continues to expand its network of private and exclusive destinations. The company will open its first Royal Beach Club in The Bahamas this December, with Royal Beach Club Paradise Island due in 2025.
Further projects in the pipeline include The Cormorant at 55 South in Chile (2026), Royal Beach Club Cozumel in Mexico (2026), Perfect Day Mexico (2027) and Royal Beach Club Lelepa (2028). These additions build on the success of Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas – a game-changing destination that has become one of the most popular stops in the Caribbean and redefined what a cruise line can offer on land.
With its cocktail of adventure, relaxation and cultural immersion, Royal Beach Club Santorini is designed to give travellers a more meaningful connection to one of the Mediterranean’s most famous islands. From exploring Oia’s clifftop views and wandering the cobbled streets of Fira to lounging by the Aegean Sea, guests can expect a day that captures the essence of Greece.
For Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises guests, this will mark a new era of cruising in the Eastern Mediterranean – one that combines the best of island life with the ease and exclusivity of a curated beach club.
The club is due to open in summer 2026, joining Royal Caribbean Group’s expanding lineup of world-class destinations and offering travellers one more reason to explore the Greek Isles by sea.
