Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled what holidaymakers can expect on Carnival cruises to upcoming Caribbean destination Celebration Key when it comes to food and drink.
Carnival has revealed the food and beverage options for Celebration Key, its new exclusive destination in Grand Bahama, set to open in July 2025.
Guests will have a wide selection of 30 different outlets, including four full-service restaurants, a food hall, nine food trucks, five snack shacks, two counter-service kiosks, and 12 bars. The offerings will include local Bahamian specialities, beachside favourites, seafood and barbecue.
One of the foodie highlights at the Carnival Cruise Line hotspot is Mingo’s Tropical Bar & Kitchen, located in the Calypso Lagoon area. This waterfront full-service restaurant will serve Bahamian dishes like fried fish and conch fritters, alongside classic burgers, seafood, tacos, steaks, and sandwiches. Mingo’s bar will offer tropical frozen drinks and cocktails, while the Mingo’s Express food truck just outside the restaurant will provide a more casual dining option.
For those seeking BBQ, Surf N’ Sauce BBQ & Brews at Calypso Lagoon will feature slow-smoked meats, and its bar will serve craft beer from local Bahamian breweries. The area will also host Long Necks Bar and Sunshine Swings Bar.
Yes! At the family-friendly Starfish Lagoon, Gill’s Grill [above], a full-service restaurant with a bar, will specialise in Caribbean seafood dishes like seafood baskets, lobster, steamed crab, shrimp, and a variety of land-based options including chicken, burgers, and kids’ meals.
The Captain’s Galley Food Hall at Starfish Lagoon will offer five different outlets serving burgers, hot dogs, fried chicken, pizza, Mediterranean bowls, tacos, and burritos. The Parrotfish Swim-Up Bar will serve frozen cocktails and mocktails, while additional food trucks will be available at both Calypso and Starfish Lagoons.
Suncastle Grounds Coffee, located in the Paradise Plaza welcome area, will offer hot, cold, and frozen coffee drinks, as well as snacks. Yumshine Scoops, an ice cream bar, will also be available.
In Celebration Key’s adults-only Pearl Cove Beach Club, visitors will find a full-service restaurant and a swim-up bar at the infinity pool. Access to Pearl Cove Beach Club is available in three tiers: club access plus a welcome drink, club access with an open bar (up to 10 drinks), and all-inclusive access, which includes an open bar (10 drinks) and lunch from the Pearl Cove restaurant.
Carnival has also introduced the “Island Eats” program, offering guests one complimentary meal at casual outlets, snack bars, and food trucks across Celebration Key via their Sail & Sign card. Alternatively, guests can opt for a 25 percent discount on one entrée per person at full-service restaurants, excluding the Pearl Cove Beach Club restaurant.
Christine Duffy, president at Carnival Cruise Line, commented: “Great food and beverage options are essential to the Carnival experience, and we’ve designed Celebration Key with an array of dining opportunities, whether our guests want a casual snack, a quick meal or a full dining experience. Just like there will be no shortage of ways to enjoy their day in paradise, there will also be something for everyone to eat and drink at Celebration Key.”
Celebration Key will be included in over 500 itineraries, served by 18 Carnival ships departing from nine US homeports. Up to two Carnival ships will dock at the adjacent pier, offering guests direct access to the island.
