Cunard and chef Michel Roux to launch iconic Le Gavroche at sea

Cunard is reintroducing an exclusive series of Le Gavroche experiences at sea this year, featuring the renowned two Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux and his iconic London restaurant.

Roux, closing the popular Mayfair venue this month, will curate four Le Gavroche residencies during thrilling voyages through fjords in 2024.

When will Michel Roux be on Cunard?

Partnering with the Norwegian Seafood Council, the series debuts with “Le Gavroche at The Verandah” aboard Cunard’s flagship Queen Mary 2, setting sail for Hardangerfjord on June 2.

This five-night culinary affair, available at an extra charge, will delight 60 diners each evening with Michel’s seafood specialties and elevated culinary classics in a five-course tasting menu celebrating the sea’s flavours with premium ingredients.

Continuing his Cunard culinary journey, Michel will host a second residency on Queen Mary 2 during her Hamburg roundtrip Fjords voyage on August 6.

Simultaneously, aboard Cunard’s latest ship, Queen Anne, departing for Stavanger on August 11, Michel will present another exclusive five-night takeover at Sir Samuel’s, accommodating 50 guests per night.

Rounding off the quartet of takeovers, Michel will bring Le Gavroche aboard Queen Anne once more on September 1, offering another unforgettable dining experience as she sails to Haugesund.

Throughout these voyages, Michel will share his insights as an Insight Speaker in the Royal Court Theatre, regaling guests with stories from his illustrious 40-plus-year career in hospitality.

This exciting news follows Michel’s August announcement of curating an exclusive gala menu for Queen Anne’s Queens Grill and Princess Grill restaurants, in addition to crafting a refined pub favourites menu for Cunard’s newest ship, the Golden Lion menu.
