Celesytal cruise line has revealed it is expanding its offering into the Persian Gulf this autumn. Here’s what you need to know.
Celestyal today unveiled the expansion of its cruise product, with refreshed ship Celestyal Journey charting a course to explore four new countries and introduce six fresh ports of call in the Persian Gulf starting November 2024.
Embarking on the seven-night ‘Desert Days’ itinerary from Doha, Qatar on November 9, Celestyal Journey will carry out inaugural visits to Bahrain, Dubai, Khasab (Oman), Sir Bani Yas Island and Abu Dhabi.
This Celestyal cruise marks an extension of the vessel’s lineup since its incorporation into the fleet in September of the previous year.
Scheduled until January 18, 2025, this Persian Gulf itinerary is set to become a regular highlight during the winter season.
Celestyal has confirmed a year-round operation for its two-ship fleet, delineating seasonal offerings:
Celestyal Journey will lead the ‘Desert Days’ itinerary, featuring three, four, five, and seven-night options departing from Doha. Additionally, the 1,266-passenger Celestyal Discovery, joining the fleet in March 2024, will offer the ‘Three Continents’ cruise from November to March 2025, spanning Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Israel and Egypt.
During this period, Celestyal Journey will traverse three itineraries: the ‘Heavenly Adriatic,’ sailing from Greece to Montenegro, Croatia and Italy, with debut calls at Kefalonia, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu, Bari and Katakolo.
The ‘Summer Heavenly Adriatic’ will mirror this route, including maiden calls at Venice, plus the ‘Idyllic Aegean’ voyages exploring the Greek Isles and Turkey starting from 2025.
Celestyal Discovery will also operate three and four-night ‘Iconic Aegean’ cruises from March to November.
The line’s itineraries for 2024 and 2025 are now available for booking.
Celestyal’s current winter savings promotion encompasses all destinations, including the new itineraries.
Prices start at £499pp for a seven-night ‘Three Continents’ cruise sailing from Athens and £469pp for the ‘Desert Daze’ cruise from Doha, covering ports in Bahrain, Dubai, Oman, Sir Bani Yas Island and Abu Dhabi.
Furthermore, Celestyal offers a 50 percent discount on all Celestyal Plus+ Experience packages, reduced single supplements of 30 percent, and attractive fares for children, with up to 70 percent off for the third or fourth guest in a cabin.
Lee Haslett, Chief Commercial Officer at Celestyal, expressed enthusiasm for the company’s evolution, stating: “We come into 2024 with a completely refreshed fleet, seven new countries and 12 new global ports, on top of our much-loved Greece and Eastern Mediterranean cruise programme.
“We are finding our sea legs on a more global stage. We know we do the Greek islands and the Mediterranean like no other, but we have heard from our customers that they want more destinations, bigger itineraries, and a chance to discover more with Celestyal.
“The Persian Gulf cruises deliver this, with a homeport in Doha, stops at marquee destinations such as Dubai, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi, as well as more bespoke gems in Oman and the island of Sir Bani Yas. We are starting the year strong and intend to keep growing and delighting our customers across 2024.”
