What is the best month to cruise the Mediterranean?

Sun Princess Mediterranean cruises take place between March and October.

If you’re not constrained by school holidays, cruises to the Mediterranean in late spring (May and June) and early autumn (September and October) will generally benefit from pleasant weather with warm temperatures – and you can avoid the peak summer heat and crowds.

The summer months of July and August are also popular for cruises in the Mediterranean but note they can be hotter and more crowded in popular tourist areas.

Where does Sun Princess leave from?

Sun Princess Mediterranean cruise holidays depart from the major Mediterranean cruise ports of Athens, Barcelona and Rome.

A perk of fly-cruising is that you can time your flights to factor in added hotel stays pre- or post-cruise in these European hotspots to really visit them in depth. Well, when in Rome…
