Luxury motor yacht Aman at Sea celebrates major milestone – what to expect

Aman at Sea is a yet-to-be-named luxury motor yacht launching in 2027 – and the vessel officially began its journey to completion this week. What will be onboard?

Luxury lifestyle and hospitality brand Aman has announced the commencement of construction for its opulent motor yacht, Aman at Sea – due to sail in three years.

The traditional steel-cutting ceremony took place at the T.Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy this week.

What’s onboard the Aman at Sea yacht?

Aman at Sea, a collaboration with Cruise Saudi, is scheduled to set sail in 2027, promising to redefine luxury sea travel while bringing “the cherished spirit of Aman to the world’s seas and oceans,” the brand said.

Measuring 183 meters (600 feet), the luxury yacht will be the first dual-fuel-powered new build, utilising marine diesel oil and methanol for propulsion, showcasing Aman Group’s commitment to sustainability while offering a unique aquatic experience.

With just 50 spacious luxury suites, each boasting its own private balcony, the yacht will offer an array of dining options, including an informal all-day restaurant, international cuisine, a relaxed club and lounge and a serene Aman Spa with a Japanese garden.

Additionally, it will feature two helipads and an expansive Beach Club providing direct access to the water.

Who is behind the Aman at Sea project?

Aman is overseeing the entire development process of the project. T.Mariotti, distinguished builders of bespoke cruise ships and yachts in Italy since 1928, has been entrusted with crafting this groundbreaking vessel.

Their expertise ensures that Aman at Sea will embody the same level of meticulous design and care found in Aman’s acclaimed hotels.

Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, expressed his excitement about this milestone: “The steel cutting signifies a key milestone in the development of Aman at Sea and my strategic evolution of the brand, as we continue to diversify our geographical portfolio on land and at sea to offer exceptional travel experiences which deliver Aman’s core values of privacy, peace, generosity of space and unparalleled service.

“We are partnering with T.Mariotti to bring to life our pioneering vision
for Aman at Sea, providing a whole new category in on the water exploration.”

Marco Ghiglione, Managing Director of T.Mariotti, added: “Steel cutting is the first tangible mark of this unprecedented project which will bring the luxury on the sea to new heights, never explored before.

“We at T.Mariotti shipyard are extremely excited and proud to partner with Aman in undertaking this challenge, which confirms our leading position in the ultraluxury market on the sea.”

The keel laying of Aman at Sea is scheduled for this summer, with the official name of the vessel to be announced in due course.
