MSC Cruises has reached a new milestone in its ongoing expansion in the USA. The company has announced the opening of a brand-new home port for its line in Galveston, Texas, situated on the south coast of the US.
Starting in November 2025, Galveston will serve as the home for MSC Seascape, marking MSC Cruises’ fourth US home port.
Sales for year-round sailings from this new MSC port have officially commenced, offering seven-night itineraries with Sunday embarkation.
The itineraries will take MSC Cruises guests to captivating destinations in the Caribbean, including Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico, as well as Isla de Roatan in Honduras. The inaugural departure is scheduled for November 9, 2025.
MSC Seascape, known for elevating the family experience on board, boasts impressive features such as 7,500 square feet of dedicated kids’ facilities and cutting-edge amusement options.
Notable attractions include the ROBOTRON robotic arm ride, LEGO rooms for different age groups, and a variety of virtual reality experiences.
The vessel itself, MSC Seascape, offers an immersive experience with advanced onboard entertainment options, awe-inspiring theatre productions, and expansive dedicated kids’ spaces. The ship features a range of accommodations, dining venues, bars, lounges, swimming pools, and luxurious facilities like the MSC Yacht Club.

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, expressed enthusiasm about the development, stating: “This announcement is the latest step in our strategy to continue to grow our US footprint.
“Earlier this year we began operations from our third US home port, New York City, where we now sail year-round, and we are proud to add Galveston to that growing line-up alongside PortMiami and Port Canaveral.”
He went on: “We are committed to bringing our newest, largest, most innovative ships to the U.S. and are pleased that MSC Seascape will be more easily accessible to guests in central and western parts of the U.S through Galveston, as well as to our guests internationally via the well-connected international airport hub of Houston.”
