History and Culture

Is there a more cultured city in Europe than Paris? That is debatable; what’s not is that France is a great country to visit, and it’s not far away at all.

Just a short ferry ride or a trip through the Channel Tunnel, France is the perfect holiday destination for UK travellers, and it is clear to see why it is the second most visited location after Spain.

Much of France has a similar climate as the UK’s south. You will have to travel to the French Riviera in the south for warmer weather.

Holidays to France offer tourists an excellent opportunity to sample the culture and history of this interesting country with a great selection of cities to explore.

Famous Landmarks

Paris is one of the most famous cities in the world, and a city break here gives tourists plenty to see and do. You will have the opportunity to go sightseeing with the iconic Eiffel Tower on top of many lists of world-famous landmarks to visit.

French food is also famous the world over. So, if you want to splash out in a Michelin-star restaurant or visit the smaller Parisien options to sample the food, you’ll enjoy it!

Family trips to France are also great, with Disneyland Paris a popular attraction. There are also 41 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the incredible Mont Saint Michel, to explore should you want to find out more about the culture and history of France.
