Virgin Voyages unveils amazing celebration package & jaw-dropping entertainment for 2023

Virgin Voyages has become well known for breaking the mould ever since it burst onto the cruising scene – and its latest entertainment line-up and fun party package further emphasise the brand’s cheeky and extravagant ethos.

Firstly, there’s a seriously cool cruise deal up for grabs – perfect if you have something you’re looking to celebrate, whether that’s payday, a new job, a birthday or just…well, something you deserve.

“Add a Splash for Your Bash” is Virgin’s new, curated party planning package and it literally serves up the goods so get ready to eat, drink make hella merry.

Step one: You and your cruising buddies will be treated to a bottomless brunch event at The Wake or Razzle Dazzle.

The former is a steakhouse daily plating up everything from clam chowder and seafood to steak and chocolate mousse – not to mention French toast, poached eggs and more for brekkie.

Razzle Dazzle meanwhile specialises in a “naughty” and “nice” menu so can you stick to your healthy eating goals if you want. Think fried chicken and loaded cookies or roasted heirloom cauliflower and vegan burgers (we know what we’re going for).

Don’t worry if you’re not drinking at the bottomless brunch by the way, non-alcoholic options are also available. Smugness about lack of hangovers to yourself though, please.

Step two: Attend a “revelrous dinner party” complete with curated beverages and desserts. Blimey, we can’t wait to see what’s in store there.

Interest well and truly piqued? It certainly will be when you hear about the savings you can make. The “Add a Splash for Your Bash” is normally valued at $325 (£274) but for a limited time you can lock it in for $250 (£210) per cabin!

The package is available across all ships and all regions and is available to pre-purchase now for cruises after April 2, 2023. Note it’s available for parties from two to nine cabins and all party members must purchase the package to participate – time to round up the fun friends!

Virgin is debuting multiple can’t-miss experiences across its entire fleet starting with a Supper Club Series.

Available on Resilient Lady, Another Rose is a “decadent feast for the senses”. The one-of-a-kind experience developed exclusively for Virgin Voyages is equal parts cabaret, world-class dining experience and theatre spectacle, and no, dinner at our house won’t ever live up to the experience.

Much more than impressive table-scaping and posh M&S canapés, Another Rose tells the tale of doomed love and acrobatics during an unforgettable supper party. We’ll toast to that!

More spectacle and cabaret can be found over at Lola’s Library, also on Resilient Lady. Nothing like your local council archives and every bit a cocktail party-cum-immersive cabaret, this event is an “after-hours literary affair” (right up our street).

With Lola, her nerdy assistant Dewey and bossy maid Mary at the helm, jet setters are guided through the eclectic book collection of a mysterious author. Who could it be? We’re intrigued to say the least.

Lola’s Library is presented in three themed chapters – expect a blend of song, dance, acrobatics and comedy – with guests able to stay all night or simply swing by for a peek.

In the mood for more stories? Persephone, on Resilient Lady, is a cutting-edge retelling of the famous Greek myth (you know, pomegranates, hell, seasons) and features a rock-n-roll underworld outfitted with lavish costumes and dramatic action. Can someone feed this back to secondary school classics teachers? We’d conjugate a verb or two to watch.

If comedy is more your thing then boy are you in for a wild, rib-tickling ride. We love the sound of Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle.

The blurb states: “Following a disappointing two-night run at a motel conference centre, the Mind Mangler’s new two-man show solo spectacular is predicted to spiral into chaos as he attempts to read Sailors’ minds”. Tempted? We certainly are. Broadway World praised the performance as “a guaranteed night of laugh-filled, mind-bending silliness that will leave audiences gasping for breath.”

Comedy regulars on Resilient Lady might well recognise the talent behind it – Mind Mangler was created by MISCHIEF, one of the UK’s leading comedy companies.

Further giggles are to be had at Miss Behave, showing on both Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady.

A game show like no other, it sees vacationers “shouting and screaming (and singing) all while having no idea what is going on” according to Virgin. Hosted in The Red Room, Miss Behave promises an evening of wild fun and hilarity with lots of audience participation. Maybe don’t sit in the front row if you’re shy.

And if that wasn’t enough, Virgin Voyages’ is introducing two all-new soirées in The Manor – an 80s bash and a confetti-filled celebration dubbed “We Fancy,” complete with royal accents.

What’s more, Virgin passenger favourites such as Duel Reality – a modern and acrobatic adaptation of Romeo and Juliet – and UNTITLED DANCESHOWPARTYTHING – an upbeat music video-style dance show – are back by popular demand for an extended run on Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady.
