Miami has been a cool and quirky place for travelers to visit for a long time but it’s now the new hot spot for foodies. From Korean barbeques, sushi bars, Cuban, Italian, Mexican, seafood, and vegan there’s something for everyone and just about every kind of restaurant, café, bar, or food shack you can think of.
Eat in luxury hotel restaurants and steakhouses or wander along the beachside with takeout. If you’re lucky enough to catch one of the many food festivals in Miami, you’ll be introduced to a whole world of exciting dishes.
Start your Miami food journey in Peru at La Mar at The Mandarin Orient Hotel for a truly exceptional experience. The views from the restaurant are incredible and you can eat seafood while gazing out over the water.
The Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club has been recently renovated, but at its heart it’s still the chic club Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, and even Winston Churchill once loved. It’s now occupied by a family-run restaurant from the Amalfi Coast, serving the best in Italian cuisine.
At The Bazaar, celebrity chef Jose Andres brings authentic Spanish tapas with a very modern twist to an appreciative audience. But if you love your food straight from the sea head to Stiltsville Fish Bar where the fresh and tasty seafood is served in battered old tackle boxes.
For Asian-inspired dishes, sit out on Kyu’s pretty terrace and enjoy burnt duck ends with Thai fried rice with runny egg.
If you’re hungry for food on the go, Purple People Eater is a food truck full of delicious tacos, burgers, and fish and chips. And if it’s laid back vibes you’re after as a side order to the main event, check out Raffa’s Backyard Grill, which is a barbeque where anyone can join in the fun. Place your order, then sit back while the scent of the grill fills the warm balmy air.
And if it’s cheese you’re after, head to MrCheezious where you’ll find the ultimate in grilled cheese sandwiches, a relaxed atmosphere and food truck roots. Delish!
