Silver Nova is set to be Silversea’s most environmentally-friendly ship when it sails in August – but it’s not just Earth it will be looking after.

The vessel is undeniably guest-friendly – Silver Nova will offer one of the most personalized services at sea with a 1:1.3 crew-to-guest ratio and every passenger staying in a butler-serviced suite.

Silver Nova Veranda Suites

The leading Silver Nova suites are the Classic Veranda Suites [below] which boast butler service, a flat-screen television with an interactive media library, a queen size bed with a custom-made luxury mattress (which can be separated on demand), a marble bathroom and a large private, teak veranda.

Above these suites on Silver Nova is the Junior Grand Suite which is 581-624 sq. ft, including 64 sq. ft of balcony respectively. It’s positioned in the top bow position, offering gorgeous views of the destination while inside there’s a spacious living and dining area and a secluded bedroom. The large bathroom features a double vanity, whirlpool and walk-in shower.

Silver Nova S.A.L.T programme

A true culinary highlight of Silver Nova cruise ship is S.A.L.T – Sea And Land Taste – and deserves its own section in our ship overview! The program – only available on this Silversea ship plus Silver Moon and Silver Dawn – aims to take globetrotters on an in-depth journey through engaging experiences and local food culture based on the destinations they are in.

The line promises the S.A.L.T program will “intensify your voyage, flavor your journey, balance your cruise, and preserve your holiday memories”.

But how? You may be wondering. Firstly, S.A.L.T includes culinary-focussed shore excursions on which travelers can meet and learn from famous chefs, tour vineyards and try their own hand at cooking, to name a few experiences – all accompanied by food experts.

The gastronomic adventure continues back onboard; visit the S.A.L.T. Bar and Kitchen to savor an array of international food dishes, inspired by your destination. The latter is a dedicated dining venue while the former sees master mixologists serve regionally inspired cocktails and teach you all about the art of tasting.

S.A.L.T doesn’t stop there! Head to the S.A.L.T Lab to discover an interactive cooking laboratory where small groups can whip up local recipes in a professional kitchen and learn about the food heritage of each ingredient.

What’s more, S.A.L.T lectures and live cooking demonstrations are regularly held in the Venetian Lounge so all guests can be educated on the deep connection between food and a destination.
