What is the new Royal Caribbean ship called?

Royal Caribbean has announced the latest ship to join the fleet will be called Star of the Seas.

The reveal comes with just under 100 days to go until Royal Caribbean International introduces its next groundbreaking cruise ship, Icon of the Seas – the first of the Icon Class lineup.

When will Star of the Seas launch?

Star of the Seas will be the next Icon Class ship and it will set sail in the summer of 2025.

The new ship is currently under construction in Turku, Finland, and more details about its features will be revealed soon.

Michael Bayley, the president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, said of the unveiling: “The idea of combining the best of every type of vacation into one ultimate adventure has created more excitement than ever anticipated, and Star of the Seas will be the next bold answer to the record-breaking consumer demand we’ve seen for nearly a year and counting with Icon of the Seas,”

Icon of the Seas, which made waves in October 2022, featured record-breaking waterslides, multiple pools, family-friendly areas, diverse entertainment options and a wide range of dining choices.

Star of the Seas promises to continue this trend and will also be the third Royal Caribbean ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), making it one of the most environmentally friendly cruise ships available.
