Founded in 1519, Old Havana is the historic city centre of Havana, Cuba and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982. It retains an interesting mix of Baroque and neoclassical monuments, as well as private houses with arcades, balconies, wrought-iron gates and internal courtyards.
