The Acropolis Museum is one of the most important museums in the world and houses the findings of the Athenian Acropolis. It tells the story of the neighbourhood continually inhabited since 4000 BC in a 14,000sq m of beautifully laid out exhibition space. Highlights include the Caryatids, the female figures which propped up the porch of the Erechtheion.
