Navagio is a beach on the island of Zakynthos also known as Shipwreck Beach or Smuggler’s Cove after MV Panayiotis washed up on its shores in October 1980 and has remained there ever since. The beach is only accessible by sea, the sands are pristine and the water is an electric light blue colour thanks to the sulphurous caves around the beach making it one of the most photographed beaches in the country.
