Louvre Museum


The Louvre, a former fortress and royal palace, is the biggest and most visited museum in Paris. Its exhibition space covers 52 acres and houses 40,000 works of art – the museum has been one of the richest museums in Paris since 1973. It’s instantly recognisable for the glass pyramid at the entrance and its main attraction is the Mona Lisa which is admired by more than 20,000 people a day.
